AI Peer Network

Exploring Ethical AI for Social Good in the South West

The AI Peer Network, led by Tech4Good South West, is a place-based, peer-led initiative designed to help voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations explore and adopt ethical, accessible, and practical AI solutions.

Launched in 2025, the network brings together charities, social enterprises, and community groups from across the region to share real-world experiences, build AI confidence, and foster locally relevant innovation that addresses the unique needs of South West communities.

AI Living Lab - Annual Innovation Cycle

2025 Living Lab Focus: Data & AI Foundations for Custom Assistants

This year's Living Lab focuses on the critical building blocks of effective AI: data management and infrastructure. Recognizing that quality data is the foundation of any successful AI implementation, we'll help organisations:

  • Develop robust data frameworks - Create organized structures for information that powers AI tools

  • Implement knowledge management systems - Transform scattered resources into accessible, structured content

  • Build data governance processes - Establish ethical approaches to data collection and usage

  • Create sustainable data pipelines - Design systems that keep information current and reliable

These essential foundations will enable the development of specialised GPT-based assistants that reduce staff workload, improve service accessibility, and preserve vital organisational knowledge.

Future Focus Areas

  • 2026 theme will be determined by community needs and priorities

  • Each annual cycle builds on learning from previous years

  • Opportunity for organisations to participate when ready
