These nominations are designed to be public recognition to individuals and organisations which have shown the positive impact that can be created by the use of technology.
HeadX, Richard Wheatley
HeadX is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions for managing concussion and brain trauma, with a special focus on grassroots contact sports. By creating a Smart Headband to enhance player safety and wellbeing, HeadX exemplifies the transformative potential of tech for good.
Frazer Meakin
Frazer Meakin, a creative practitioner and educator, has been recognised as a Tech4Good South West Champion for his commitment to bridging the digital skills gap and fostering inclusivity. During his MyWorld Fellowship, he collaborated with young people through immersive media projects, providing hands-on experiences and skills development in creative technologies, demonstrating how tech can drive societal change and empower future generations.
Quartet Community Foundation
Quartet Community Foundation connects donors with causes across the West of England, driving impactful social change through strategic grant-making and partnerships. With a focus on strengthening communities, John Stienlet and Sabita Ravi have fostered ties with the tech sector to address regional challenges. Their recent collaboration with Tech4Good South West highlighted how businesses and entrepreneurs can drive positive change.
DigiLocal, John Bradford
DigiLocal, an independent charity dedicated to advancing digital education, focuses on empowering underrepresented young people in the UK’s tech industry. Led by CEO John Bradford, DigiLocal creates accessible pathways into technology by establishing local hubs and offering hands-on experience, fostering confidence, inclusion, and essential digital skills.
