Relaunching Tech4Good South West

Hooray!

We are now live and launched as the next iteration of Tech4Good South West, with a membership offer now to really drive forward our hopes and ambitions for more tech for good across our incredible South West region of the UK.

Prioritising inclusion and skills, our definition of tech for good refers to the intentional use of digital technology to generate positive outcomes for people and the planet, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate and thrive in a digital world.

As Tech4Good South West, we believe everyone should have equal opportunity to connect, function and thrive in society. We are committed to tech for good, and recognise this as a shared responsibility to shape the future of technology. As a network we convene and create the space for the community to collaborate, learn, and adapt to address societal challenges which create a better world for all.

The buzz, interest and excitement, an uplifting energy felt across the region that aligns with the purpose of what we are setting out to achieve is fuelling our motivation and commitment to what will emerge, and be shaped together with a network and community.

Our new brand has brought with it a new coat, to encourage others to join. Our new identity amplifies the good, that tech can be an enabler to positive outcomes for people and planet.

Bringing people together here as our open community - and in to our membership for deeper engagement, conversation, connection and importantly action amongst each other, a commitment to 7 Guiding Principles for Tech4Good South West to serve as a foundational compass for our actions;

  1. Inclusivity and Accessibility

  2. Ethical Use of Data

  3. Protecting the planet

  4. Empowering Innovation

  5. Regional collaboration

  6. Capacity building

  7. Continuous improvement

It is this moment of relaunch that is here, now and very exciting.
